Months ago, I attended a high-profile event.
Lots of important people, plenty of influence in the room.
But one individual caught my eye: not because of their charisma, but because of their security guard.
The guard embodied every cliché: stern look, constantly scanning the room, alert and tense.
Rather than making me feel impressed, I honestly found it amusing.
Instead of subtle protection, it felt like a performance:
